“Aponjon” (“the close/dear/trusted one” in Bangla) is a mobile phone based health information service for expecting and new mothers in Bangladesh. The service is targeted towards expectant mothers, new mothers and their family members which brings critical health information on a weekly basis to ensure health and well-being for the mother and the baby.

Once registered, the subscribers receives two messages per week. The message is tuned to stage of pregnancy or age of the baby. From sixth week of pregnancy a mother can receive the service until her baby turns five

The service is designed to cover all aspects of growth of the child, including physical, mental, social, familial and spiritual areas. The messages are aligned to time specific needs according to the age of the child along with common issues that can occur round the year.		Aponjon Koishor comes with answers to the myriad of questions and curiosities of the adolescent mind. It provides information on sexual and reproductive health, as well as other related psycho-social issues. Anyone above 10 can register into the app and the service to receive the most appropriate information from the experts on the field.
